With the caretake manager Roberto Di Matteo just above taking care of everything, it was only right that he got the job, which Chelsea confirmed on 13th June, that Di Matteo had signed a two-year contract.

With internationals playing a part in Euro 2012, it was a nice, resting month for Chelsea. Some players were allowed to leave, with this month being the last month of Drogba’s, Kalou’s and Bosingwa’s contract, with new signings, including popular Eden Hazard, confirmed.
